Nightdrive 2086

Nightdrive 2086 is the retro-futuristic music project led by trumpeter, producer, and sonic visionary Farnell Newton. Blending shimmering synths, pulsing basslines, and cinematic textures, the project draws inspiration from ‘80s sci-fi, Blade Runner-esque cityscapes, and the neon-lit nostalgia of endless highways at night. With roots deeply embedded in Portland’s jazz, funk, and soul scenes, Farnell reimagines his musical language through the lens of synthwave and cyberpunk aesthetics. Nightdrive 2086 combines analog synths, atmospheric guitar riffs, and heavy drum grooves to create a sound that feels at once nostalgic and futuristic.
