Boxwood Orchestra

The Boxwood Orchestra is a collaboration between Austin based composer Hanan Townshend and the talents of Texas’ top studio musicians. With a goal of encouraging improvisation it taps into an intimate minimalism that says a lot by saying a little. The blend of dreamy marimba, spirited cello and mellow brass against a backdrop of heightened handclaps and fingersnaps invites the listener in a world of contemplation and thoughtfulness.
